Millie Manning was raised in suburban Massachusetts, and began singing and composing at an early age. She released her first album, the 13-song Kaleidoscope produced by Anthony J. Resta, in 2005. In 2006, she moved to New York City to pursue her undergraduate degree at Columbia University. There she enjoyed collaborating with her peers, in such genres as choral composition, film scoring, and a cappella. After graduating with a degree in music and anthropology, she became musical director of Cape Cod’s all-female a cappella group, Cape Harmony.
